Okjeong~Samsung~Gangnam~Yangjae Station 'P9601'·'P9602'... 'Premium' Bus Service Operating
[Asia Economy Reporter La Young-chul] Yangju City, Gyeonggi Province, announced on the 2nd that "starting from the 13th, two new 'Gyeonggi Premium Bus' routes operating between Okjeong New Town and Gangnam Yangjae Station will be introduced."
The 'Gyeonggi Premium Bus' is a new concept transportation service introduced to enhance commuting convenience with 'Door to Door' operation from home to workplace and to encourage private car users to switch to public transportation.
The two newly established routes are 'P9601' and 'P9602', which depart from Okjeong 3rd Complex in Yangju and run through Samsung, Gangnam, and Yangjae Station.
Each route passes through apartment complexes within Okjeong New Town and major hubs such as Cheongdam Station, Bongeunsa Station, Samsung Station, Seolleung Station, Yeoksam Station, Gangnam Station, and operates up to Yangjae Station.
The 'P9601' route operates once from Okjeong 3rd Complex at 6:30 AM and from Yangjae Station at 6:30 PM, while the 'P9602' route operates once from Okjeong 3rd Complex at 6:10 AM and from Yangjae Station at 6:10 PM. The basic fare is 3,050 KRW, with transfer fare benefits available.
The buses feature 'premium' vehicles with fewer than 31 seats to resolve the discomfort of standing passengers and narrow seats.
Passengers can download the mobile app MiRi+ to register as members, reserve their desired seats, and board the bus.
A city official stated, "We hope that the introduction of the Gyeonggi Premium Bus will improve the convenience of public transportation for citizens commuting to and from Seoul."
