[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Sang-hyun] Gyeongsangnam-do opened the 3rd Gyeongnam Social Innovation International Forum and Expo on the 2nd at Changwon Convention Center.
This event, themed "Social and Community Solutions to the Climate Crisis," is held from the 2nd to the 4th at Changwon Convention Center and Gyeongnam Provincial Government Office.
The forum emphasizes the importance of individual and community actions to overcome the climate crisis and reviews key tasks for climate crisis response through case studies and activities.
A special session features videos by Gyeongnam youth confronting the climate crisis and presentations on local case studies by international young innovators addressing regional issues in Gyeongnam.
Additionally, presentations and discussions by domestic and international experts continue on topics such as urban and life transitions, local energy?electricity created by communities, and just transition and labor union responses.
The expo is held until the 3rd in the front yard of the new building auditorium at the provincial government office. Visitors can view videos of activities by Gyeongnam institutions, organizations, and residents responding to the climate crisis, as well as experience appropriate technology exhibitions.
At the venue, the 'Warka Water Tower,' a representative example of appropriate technology designed to solve water scarcity issues in countries with limited water resources, is installed as a symbol of the expo, providing an attraction for visitors.
Furthermore, on the 4th, the Gyeongnam Climate Citizens' Assembly will be held in the provincial government large conference room, and a climate crisis film will be screened.
