This event was organized to convey the message that since one in two adults experiences venous circulatory disorders and neglecting them can easily lead to varicose veins, management from the early stages of symptoms is necessary. Varicose veins require caution as they can cause not only cosmetic issues but also various complications.

At the event, a large magnifying glass model was used to demonstrate the correlation between venous circulatory disorders and varicose veins. When the legs were magnified through the magnifying glass, the characteristic bulging and expanded leg veins of varicose veins were depicted to emphasize the need for disease management.

According to the National Health Insurance Service, the number of patients treated for varicose veins increased by about 31%, from approximately 160,000 in 2016 to about 210,000 last year. In particular, since 83.1% of the patients were aged 40 or older, active management of venous circulatory disorders is necessary for middle-aged and older adults to prevent varicose veins.
