[Asia Economy Reporter Changhwan Lee] Korea GM (GM Korea) announced on the 1st that it sold a total of 12,274 vehicles last month.
The total sales volume increased by 78.5% compared to the previous month, with domestic sales at 2,617 units and exports at 9,657 units. Domestic sales and exports increased by 5.0% and 120.4%, respectively, compared to the previous month.
In domestic sales, the Chevrolet Spark and Trailblazer led the November performance, while the Chevrolet Traverse sold a total of 318 units in the domestic market during November, marking a 1.9% increase compared to the same month last year.
Korea GM emphasized that the Chevrolet Traverse continues to receive steady demand in the large SUV market due to its overwhelming body size, sophisticated design, and best-in-class power performance.
In exports, the Chevrolet Trailblazer increased by 121.0% compared to the previous month.
Carlos Meinert, Vice President of Sales, Service, and Marketing at Korea GM, said, “Although the situation remains fluid due to the prolonged vehicle semiconductor chip issue, the high demand from customers for the Chevrolet Trailblazer and Spark is leading to sufficient contracts. Based on the recovery in November, we will strive to create positive momentum toward the end of the year through marketing of popular models such as the Chevrolet Traverse in the domestic market.”
