[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] Hamyang-gun, Gyeongnam announced on the 1st that it held a local care council meeting to share information and strengthen linkage and cooperation among elementary care service institutions within the local community.

The meeting reportedly included progress reports on past initiatives, explanations of the 2021 care institution operation status, analysis of care demand in 2022, and future plans, providing an opportunity to discuss efficient care service provision methods and cooperation measures to address various care needs in the community, such as those of dual-income couples.

Kang Seung-je, chairman of the local care council, said, “Through the activation of the local care council, we will make our best efforts to enhance the roles and capabilities of all-day care providing institutions and establish a collaborative system among institutions so that children can grow up safely and healthily.”

The Dahamkke Care Center is an institution that provides after-school care services for elementary children aged 6 to 12 (regardless of income level) who need care, and plans to operate meal and snack provision, homework guidance, and other special talent and aptitude programs.

In particular, it is expected to greatly contribute to alleviating the childcare burden of dual-income couples by building a public care infrastructure in the region, focusing on elementary students who experience significant care service gaps.
