[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Seo Young-seo] Mokpo National University (President Park Min-seo) jointly held a policy meeting to promote regional balanced New Deal and realize carbon neutrality with Jeonnam Technopark (hereinafter Jeonnam TP) on the 30th of last month at the 2nd floor conference room of the 70th Anniversary Hall on Dorim Campus.


According to Mokpo National University on the 1st, about 30 people attended the meeting, including the head of the university's Industry-Academic Cooperation Foundation, professors and researchers proposing projects, the director of Jeonnam Technopark, the head of policy planning, and the head of the industry center.


The meeting proceeded in the order of explaining the main achievements of the Mokpo National University-Jeonnam TP linkage cooperation, explaining Jeonnam TP's main policies, explaining Mokpo National University's new planned proposal projects, and discussing support measures.


In particular, at the meeting, Jeonnam TP explained four promoted projects including the local government-university cooperation-based regional innovation project and the regional demand-customized research and development support project. Mokpo National University explained four new planned projects including the biohealth industry ecosystem foundation project for developing smart customized healthcare products and processed foods, seeking ways to establish a multifaceted linkage cooperation system and activate exchanges.


Jung Seok-won, head of Mokpo National University's Industry-Academic Cooperation Foundation, said, "It was a very meaningful time to explore ways to link and cooperate with Jeonnam Technopark on the university's new planned projects," adding, "We will continue to contribute to the development of regional strategic industries through a joint cooperation system with Jeonnam TP."
