[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Cheol-hyun] TMON announced on the 1st that it has signed a business agreement with Changwon City to support local small business owners and will engage in a win-win cooperation by sharing competitiveness and know-how in the commerce market, which is shifting its focus to content.
On the 30th, TMON signed the 'Changwon City-TMON Excellent Products Online Sales Support' business agreement at Changwon City Hall, attended by Changwon Mayor Heo Seong-mu and TMON CEO Jang Yoon-seok. The main cooperation topics discussed at this agreement ceremony include ▲Commerce Academy Program ▲Discovery and Nurturing of Local Creators ▲Development of Regional Specialized Products.
First, through the Commerce Academy Program, TMON will support small business owners in pioneering new opportunities. The program operates a curriculum designed to cultivate the skills and know-how necessary for local small business owners and prospective entrepreneurs to smoothly enter and adapt to the new commerce market. It combines case-based online education with hands-on offline training to help participants directly experience content commerce planning and production, while also providing various consulting opportunities.
Support is also provided for nurturing 'Local Creators' to produce high-quality local content that reflects regional characteristics. The goal is to discover various creators within the region and develop original content unique to Changwon City. In the future, cooperation with institutions located in Changwon City will be pursued to explore various ways to practically distribute the content. There is also a plan to develop regional specialized products and nurture them into competitive local brands. Various contents originating from Changwon City, such as food, local festivals, traditional markets, and sports, will be discovered and combined with TMON's commerce expertise to support sales.
As the first project to materialize this cooperation, TMON and Changwon City will promote 'Living in Changwon for a Month' within this year. TMON employees will live in Changwon for a month in a 'workation' style, experiencing and discovering various local products and cultures firsthand. They plan to collaborate with local creators on-site to produce and showcase diverse content. Jang Yoon-seok, CEO of TMON, said, "Through this agreement, we will establish a cooperative network with Changwon City and strive to continuously contribute to the development of the local economy and small business owners."
