[Asia Economy Reporter Kiho Sung] Hana Financial Sharing Foundation announced on the 1st that it has signed a business agreement with the Korea Healthy Family Promotion Agency for the 'Reducing Carbon in Our Family's Daily Life' initiative.
At the signing ceremony held the previous day at Hana Financial Group's Myeongdong headquarters, the two organizations agreed to jointly promote a nationwide ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) awareness campaign called 'Reducing Carbon in Our Family's Daily Life,' aimed at encouraging energy saving and eco-friendly practices among all families in South Korea. They also committed to establishing a mutual exchange and cooperation system for a fair transition to a carbon-neutral society.
'Reducing Carbon in Our Family's Daily Life' is a campaign that encourages daily practices such as ▲using green products ▲maintaining appropriate indoor temperatures ▲regularly emptying email inboxes, with participants pledging to share their efforts on social media. The campaign is spreading ESG know-how among diverse families, centered around over 250 family centers nationwide.
Ham Young-joo, Chairman of Hana Financial Sharing Foundation, stated, “As partners in creating social value, we hope that ESG awareness and participation will be realized in every household across South Korea through various collaborations between the two organizations.” He added, “We will continue to practice 'finance that grows together and shares happiness' so that all members of society can enjoy a healthy life in a better environment.”
