[Asia Economy (Bucheon) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] The Gyeonggi-do Job Foundation is launching a vehicle maintenance support initiative for disabled self-drivers in collaboration with the Korea Employment Agency for the Disabled and the Gyeonggi-do Automobile Specialist Maintenance Business Association.
On the 1st, the Gyeonggi-do Technical School under the Gyeonggi-do Job Foundation announced that it held a business agreement ceremony for the "Karissuma Project" with the Korea Employment Agency for the Disabled and the Gyeonggi-do Automobile Specialist Maintenance Business Association at the Korea Employment Agency for the Disabled's main conference room on the 30th of last month.
About 10 officials attended the agreement ceremony, including Hong Chun-hee, Principal of Gyeonggi-do Technical School, Jo Hyang-hyun, Chairman of the Korea Employment Agency for the Disabled, and Seok Chang-hyun, Chairman of the Gyeonggi-do Automobile Specialist Maintenance Business Association.
The Karissuma Project carries the meaning of "recycling cars (Car) and sharing hearts where they are needed."
According to the agreement, the three organizations will collaborate on ▲ regular vehicle inspection support for disabled persons ▲ free self-diagnosis and safety management education for disabled self-drivers ▲ provision of decommissioned work vehicles for practical training.
Hong Chun-hee, Principal of Gyeonggi-do Technical School, stated, "I believe it is meaningful that the faculty and students of the Automobile Maintenance Department at Gyeonggi-do Technical School can share social value through talent donation such as vehicle inspection support."
Gyeonggi-do Technical School operates an Automobile Maintenance Department and is an institution under the Gyeonggi-do Job Foundation leading the training of automotive maintenance personnel for hybrid, electric, and autonomous vehicles.
