Former Blue House Senior Secretary Kang Ki-jung's Candid Dialogue with Youth Draws Attention

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] Former Blue House Senior Secretary for Political Affairs Kang Ki-jung is communicating with young people through a series of lectures at universities.


On the morning of the 30th, former Secretary Kang held a lecture titled ‘Kang Ki-jung’s Young Talk with Youth’ for 80 university students at the Educational Media Hall of Gwangju National University of Education.


At the event, he shared stories about ‘Youth Kang Ki-jung,’ ‘Episodes from his Blue House days,’ and ‘Studying abroad in Germany after meeting a pause,’ spending a candid time communicating with the youth.


After the lecture, a ‘Young Talk’ talk show was held to listen to the concerns of young people. The talk show was hosted by Lee Jung-hyun, CEO of the youth company ‘1% Gongjakso’.


The young participants talked about their dreams for Gwangju, including ‘creating good jobs,’ ‘expanding various cultural facilities,’ ‘attracting Costco,’ and ‘revitalizing tourist facilities.’


Former Secretary Kang said, “It was a valuable time to deeply feel what kind of Gwangju the youth dream of,” and added, “I will continue communication to listen to and empathize with the voices of young people.”


Earlier, on the 23rd, former Secretary Kang also held a lecture titled ‘The World of Taste Sniping’ for about 20 university students at Honam University IT Square.


Former Secretary Kang is scheduled to meet young people on December 1 at 12:30 PM at the Business and Industry Hall of the College of Business and Economics, Chosun University, under the theme ‘My Story of Germany.’

Meanwhile, since proposing the ‘7 Major Presidential Election Pledges Opening the Future of Honam’ on September 29, former Secretary Kang has been touring local governments in the Gwangju and Jeonnam regions, delivering special lectures on the future of Honam.
