According to Geochang Fire Station on the 30th, the fire was completely extinguished by the fire brigade after the resident of the house recognized the fire through the alarm sound of the standalone smoke detector and reported it to 119.

Chief Jeong Soon-wook said, “Installing standalone smoke detectors helped prevent casualties from the fire,” and added, “I hope this serves as an opportunity to install fire extinguishers and standalone smoke detectors in all homes.”
