On the 30th, the unveiling ceremony of the 'Anryeong Imran Historic Site Monument' is taking place in Oenam-myeon, Sangju-si, Gyeongbuk.

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Seryeong] Sangju City, Gyeongbuk, and the Anryeong Imran Battle Monument Construction Promotion Committee held the unveiling ceremony of the Anryeong Imran Battle Monument on the 30th.

The Anryeong Imran Battle Monument is a memorial stone that commemorates the righteous army battle that took place in Anryeong, Guseo-ri, currently Oenam-myeon, during the Japanese invasions of Imjin War, and honors the patriots who sacrificed their lives during the war, carrying on their spirit.

The unveiling ceremony was attended by the Anryeong Imran Battle Monument Construction Promotion Committee, officials from Sangju City Hall, and residents, and proceeded with a progress report, presentation of appreciation plaques to contributors to the monument's creation, congratulatory speeches from guests, words of thanks, and the unveiling.

Mayor Kang Young-seok said, "I express my gratitude to everyone who worked hard to ensure the smooth progress of the monument's construction and unveiling ceremony," adding, "I hope this will be an opportunity to remember the patriotism of our ancestors who sacrificed their lives to protect our hometown, and to reflect on the importance of the nation and the love for our country."
