[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Cho Hyung-joo] Chosun University College of IT Convergence (Dean Kim Pan-gu) announced on the 30th that it successfully concluded the IT Festival utilizing the metaverse platform.

The IT Festival, held online and at Chosun University Haeoreum Hall on the 26th, built an event space using the metaverse platform oVice, where participants exhibited and presented their respective achievements.

The event featured a variety of programs including the Capstone Design Competition, Idea Contest, Department Introduction, Club Introduction, Laboratory Introduction, Industry-Academia R&D Introduction, Resume Competition, and Portfolio Competition.

Additionally, as part of the youth talent intensive training project, the 'Job Matching Day CU IT Job(job)ara' was held offline, receiving enthusiastic responses from students.

The significance of this IT Festival lies in establishing a virtuous cycle structure that leads to on-site interview recruitment through the achievements gained by the efforts of professors and students in the metaverse platform.

It also captured the growth of professors and students within the metaverse space, and placed importance on creating an efficient platform configuration method by combining online and offline events, such as the AI Industry-Academia Technology Exchange held at the College of IT Convergence lobby CU Innovation Space and the IT Job(Job) Festival Cluster.

Dean Kim Pan-gu, who organized the event, said, "This event attempted the IT Festival using the metaverse and provided opportunities to directly experience practical interviews with companies participating in the IT Job(Job) Festival," adding, "We will strive harder to foster a platform and ecosystem that supplies talent to the region through industry-academia technology exchange and the growth of professors and students."
