Content platform company RIDI (CEO Bae Gi-sik) is hosting the '2021 RIDI Books Awards' and will announce the winners on the 31st of next month.
Now in its 6th year, the 'RIDI Books Awards' is a ceremony that selects popular works that have shone on RIDI Books this year, including web novels, comics, and webtoons. The '2021 RIDI Books Awards' has significantly expanded its award categories. First, in the web novel category, a fantasy genre has been newly added alongside the existing Romance and Boys' Love (BL) categories. In the comics category, award sections such as Best Short Story have been subdivided to allow various works to gain attention, and the webtoon category, which was previously included in the comics awards, has been expanded into a standalone award category.
For the '2021 RIDI Books Awards,' customer voting will take place from the 30th of this month until the 20th of next month, and the final winners will be announced on the 31st of next month. All winners will receive trophies and prizes, and an event will be held where up to 1 million points will be awarded by lottery to customers who participate in the voting.
Bae Gi-sik, CEO of RIDI, said, “To meet the support of customers for RIDI’s year-end festival, the 'RIDI Books Awards,' we have expanded the scale this year by increasing the award categories. We hope this ceremony will provide an opportunity for talented authors and works to be newly spotlighted.”
