[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Seon-ae] NH Investment & Securities announced on the 30th that it has opened the industry's first metaverse platform, ‘NH Investment & Securities Metaverse,’ developed as a standalone application. ‘NH Investment & Securities Metaverse’ was launched as part of the NAMUH premium service to provide a new investment experience for MZ generation customers.
‘NH Investment & Securities Metaverse’ is the industry's first metaverse platform created as a standalone application. It was designed to become an investment communication platform enabling interaction between customers and was launched through the proactive planning of MZ generation employees. To start using NH Investment & Securities Metaverse, users must be subscribed to the NAMUH premium membership service of the mobile securities app NAMUH, and install the separate ‘NH Investment & Securities Metaverse’ application from the Play Store or App Store. The Android version has been beta pre-opened, and the iOS version is scheduled to open in December.
Users can engage in various activities within the NH Investment & Securities Metaverse, which closely replicates real spaces such as △ the exterior of the NH Investment & Securities building △ the interior of the NH Investment & Securities building (lobby and conference hall) △ Yeouido Hangang Park. An investment consultation booth is set up in the metaverse lobby space, offering advisor consultations from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The consultation service is provided as a beta service and will be available only until the 3rd. At kiosks located on both sides of the conference hall, users can access various MTS services tailored to customer convenience, including ‘opening a brokerage-type ISA account’ and ‘checking current prices of overseas stocks.’
By going up the stairs from the lobby to the conference hall, users can watch ‘Metaverse on Air’ lecture video content jointly produced by NH Investment & Securities and Sampro TV (an economic YouTube channel with 1.6 million subscribers). Metaverse On Air lectures cover topics that investors must know in this changing era, such as metaverse, NFT, and blockchain. Seminars by related research center analysts and experts will also be held.
Outside the building, Yeouido Hangang Park unfolds, where users can freely ride or move kickboards placed in various locations, walk, or run while taking a stroll. Additionally, with the 30,000 points of cash provided by default, users can purchase unique items to customize their own avatars. NH Investment & Securities is preparing services to transfer Ssac points from the NAMUH premium membership to cash usable in the metaverse, as well as additional avatar costumes and motions, and various monthly events will be held.
NH Investment & Securities Metaverse is also reviewing and promoting the addition of various content related to investment services, AI investment consultation incorporating star PBs’ investment philosophies, and the integration of AR (Augmented Reality) and VR (Virtual Reality) technologies to evolve into a full-fledged metaverse investment platform in the future.
Kim Kyung-ho, head of NH Investment & Securities Digital Business Division, said, “We believe the metaverse will absorb existing HTS (Home Trading System) and MTS (Mobile Trading System) platforms to become another investment ecosystem,” adding, “Our company will not stop at launching the metaverse platform but will strive to become a financial investment company that can lead the upcoming metaverse era.”
