Digital healthcare solution specialist 'GilOn' signed a business agreement with medical AI solution specialist 'People & Technology' on November 26.
This business agreement aims for joint commercialization of solutions for real-time health management/improvement of medical patients, advanced medical analysis services, and safety management solutions for workers in high-risk industrial sites in the fields of smart healthcare and Industry 4.0. Starting January 2022, both companies plan to establish a joint commercialization cooperation model with about 50 medical institutions, including major large hospitals in Seoul and advanced hospitals nationwide.
By linking People & Technology's IndoorPlus+ SmartCare solution and patient vital sign judgment/prediction AI system, which is part of the 'Smart Hospital Leading Model' consortium led by the Ministry of Health and Welfare, with GilOn's I-SOL Care solution capable of patient gait data analysis, health risk assessment, and anomaly detection, they will provide multifaceted measures such as gait pattern analysis for high fall-risk patient groups, immediate actions according to hospital patient intensive care levels, and proactive emergency situation prevention.
Additionally, by integrating the I-SOL Care solution with the IndoorPlus+ Smart PainCare solution, which consists of a mobile app, various wearable healthcare devices, and an AI pain data analysis system, continuous monitoring of patients' pain and gait analysis inside and outside the hospital will be effectively utilized for pain treatment and rehabilitation processes, as well as for preventing additional potential diseases.
Furthermore, by adding patient gait analysis data to the already established hospital IT infrastructure and customized medical apps, and utilizing the medical AI engine, the quantity and quality of medical data?essential elements for digital transformation/expansion of hospitals and enhancement of patient experience?will be significantly improved, advancing medical analysis services for disease management, prevention, and prediction.
Moreover, in the field of industrial safety management, for various customers in construction, plants, and manufacturing industries currently using or planning to adopt People & Technology's smart safety solutions, the smart insole (I-SOL) will add worker gait-based activity state monitoring. This will especially enable real-time detection of falls and health abnormalities of workers in indoor/outdoor hazardous areas and solo workers, supporting immediate rescue activities and providing safety accident prevention guides and health management services through linked analysis with various biometric data.
Through this joint commercialization effort, both companies aim to achieve tangible results in smart healthcare and industrial safety management fields, and plan to expand the successful domestic joint commercialization cooperation model in the first half of 2022 to the EMEA market, leveraging the Swiss branch as a base to secure customers and partners.
Kim Nam-seon, CEO of GilOn, and Hong Sung-pyo, CEO of People & Technology, stated, "Through the strategic joint commercialization cooperation model of both companies, we will provide differentiated services by collecting meaningful field-oriented data and deriving and utilizing high-availability information in the smart hospital and smart safety markets, thereby securing competitiveness in the existing value chain."
They added, "GilOn plans to expand various competitive new solutions and services by combining smart insole-based specialized gait analysis technology with other institutions' solutions and services."
