[Asia Economy Reporter Seulgina Cho] IDIS Powertel (formerly KT Powertel), newly launched after being sold by KT, announced on the 30th that it will release the low-cost LTE walkie-talkie focused on group communication, ‘RADGER Lite2’.
RADGER Lite is a low-cost LTE walkie-talkie that significantly reduces size and price by removing the numeric keypad, camera, and touchscreen. It is mainly used in small to medium-sized hotels, hospitals, golf courses, and other facilities. The newly released ‘RADGER Lite2’ adopts a color display and increases battery capacity (2700mAh) by 35%. Additionally, it improves simultaneous pressure sensitivity by enlarging the PTT (Push-to-talk) button and adds a recording function, greatly enhancing user convenience.
Customers can use the ‘EasyEye Service’ for real-time location tracking, special encrypted communication, emergency group calls, and multi-group reception, which make up the ‘walkie-talkie value-added services.’ IDIS Powertel set the device price the same as the previous model, considering customer burden. Furthermore, free device AS support is provided for two years from the time of purchase.
Kim Youngdal, CEO of IDIS Powertel, said, “We will continue to develop customer-centered specialized LTE walkie-talkies reflecting the characteristics of major industries and customer feedback, and based on the know-how of the No.1 domestic walkie-talkie communication company, we will continuously improve user convenience.”
