[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Hyun-joo] The Korea Meteorological Administration reported that a magnitude 6.6 earthquake occurred at 9:41 PM (Korea time) on the 29th in the sea area 560 km south-southeast of Chiba, Chiba Prefecture (Honshu), Japan.

The epicenter was at 31.10 degrees north latitude and 142.80 degrees east longitude, with a depth of 10 km.

The Korea Meteorological Administration predicted that "there will be no impact on the domestic area."
