[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters, Trainee Reporter Hwang Du-yeol] The National Health Insurance Service Busan, Ulsan, and Gyeongnam Regional Headquarters held a forum on the 29th to improve the support environment for community health insurance big data.
The forum provided a platform to gather opinions on the use of health insurance big data.
The forum was attended by a total of 20 people, including six researchers from the public health care support teams in Busan, Ulsan, and Gyeongnam, Professor Kim In-ju from Busan National University Hospital, ten professors from Kosin University Gospel Hospital, Dong-A University Hospital, and Inje University Paik Hospital, as well as officials from the NHIS big data department.
Participants discussed how to utilize health insurance big data for the advancement of healthcare and research and development in the Busan, Ulsan, and Gyeongnam regions. Afterwards, they shared opinions on additional support needed from the NHIS and ways to enhance user convenience.
One researcher who attended the forum said, "It was an opportunity to talk about the difficulties experienced during research."
Jang Su-mok, the head of the regional headquarters, stated, "We will support improvements in accessibility and usability so that NHIS big data can be conveniently used as basic data for research."
