The Strong Small and Medium Enterprises 100+ project in materials, parts, and equipment aims to intensively nurture promising SMEs that will enhance Korea's technological independence in the materials, parts, and equipment sector and contribute to the creation of future new industries. This year, 20 additional companies nationwide were selected, bringing the total to 120 companies so far.
According to the province on the 29th, with the selection of these three companies, the number of strong SMEs in materials, parts, and equipment in the province has increased to a total of 11 companies.
So far, the province has operated a detailed support program based on corporate needs in cooperation with related organizations such as Gyeongnam Technopark, Gyeongnam Regional Small and Medium Venture Business Administration, and Korea Technology Finance Corporation to discover promising companies, provide consulting at each evaluation stage, and support the preparation of presentation materials in preparation for the selection competition.
The selected companies will be able to receive various government supports such as research and development, funding and guarantees, and export support throughout the entire cycle from technology development to commercialization for the next five years. It is expected that rapid technological innovation and performance creation will be achieved.
Seong Heung-taek, head of the SME and Venture Business Division of the province, said, "We hope that the materials, parts, and equipment companies in Gyeongnam, where manufacturing is well developed, will achieve technological innovation through government support and become global strong SMEs, contributing to regional economic revitalization and job creation."
