[Asia Economy Reporter Yoo Byung-don] An accident occurred where the ceiling collapsed at a store in The Hyundai Seoul in Yeouido, Seoul, which opened in February this year.
According to the fire authorities, a report was received on the morning of the 29th that part of the ceiling collapsed at an underwear store on the 3rd floor of The Hyundai Seoul, and fire personnel were dispatched around 11:14 a.m.
Three employees sustained minor injuries in this accident.
A Hyundai Department Store official explained, "The accident occurred as the gypsum board of the store ceiling detached and fell," adding, "An announcement was made, and there is no issue with safety."
The fire authorities and the department store are investigating the cause of the accident.
Meanwhile, The Hyundai Seoul opened on February 26 of this year.
