Homeplus Announces Open Recruitment for Offline Store Intern Employees

On the 29th, new employees of Homeplus are receiving training on picking online order products at the World Cup branch in Mapo-gu, Seoul.

[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Chun-han] Homeplus announced on the 29th that it will conduct an open recruitment for associate degree intern employees to work at large marts and supermarket Homeplus Express.

Through this recruitment, approximately 330 people will be selected and hired as regular employees after a 3-month internship period. Intern employees will perform tasks covering overall sales management, including product quality control, display, ordering and inventory management, and customer service.

Applicants must hold an associate degree or be expected to graduate by February 2022. Applications will be accepted until the 15th of next month, followed by document screening and a non-face-to-face video interview scheduled for December. Document screening will be evaluated 100% based on self-introduction letters. Preference will be given to those with experience related to fresh foods (seafood, livestock, bakery), majors in related departments, holders of Level 2 Lifelong Educator certificates, and persons with disabilities or veterans as defined by law.

The list of successful candidates will be announced in early January next year, and after a medical examination, internship work will begin around mid-January. Selected interns will undergo an internship period until April next year, after which regular employment conversion will proceed based on final job evaluations.

A Homeplus official said, “This associate degree open recruitment was conducted to supplement the workforce of offline stores, which lack young personnel,” and added, “We look forward to active applications from the young and energetic MZ generation (Millennials + Generation Z) youth.”
