Toyota Korea Hosts Service Competition '2021 Skill Contest' Toyota Korea announced on the 29th that it held the "2021 Toyota Skill Contest" on the 25th and 26th at the Toyota Training Center located in Seongsu-dong, Seoul.

[Asia Economy Reporter Changhwan Lee] Toyota Korea announced on the 29th that it held the '2021 Toyota Skill Contest' on the 25th and 26th at the Toyota Training Center located in Seongsu-dong, Seoul.

The Skill Contest is a service competition conducted by Toyota Korea since 2013 for all Toyota dealer service employees. It is held every two years to enhance service capabilities through talent development and improve customer satisfaction, and this year marked the 5th event.

In this competition, 42 service personnel selected through internal contests of eight Toyota dealers nationwide participated over two days in six categories: general maintenance, sheet metal, service advisor, painting, parts, and customer support, competing in written exams as well as practical skills.

The company explained that participants fiercely competed in high-difficulty evaluation items similar to real situations, including not only technical and maintenance services but also customer response operations under various settings.

The six winners who took first place in each category will have their names inscribed as the 2021 champions in the Training Center's "Hall of Fame," which showcases the history of the 'Toyota Service Champions.'

Nobuyuki Takemura, President of Toyota Korea, said, "We aim to continuously cultivate highly skilled personnel in the service field by strengthening the capabilities of dealer technicians," adding, "We will continue to do our best to enhance employee capabilities through talent development and to satisfy all our customers."
