The 60 units of All New Rexton supplied this time are specially manufactured vehicles equipped with additional features such as guide LED panels, warning lights, and integrated controllers tailored for highway patrol use by the Expressway Corporation. They will be used nationwide on highways to provide traffic information, conduct road patrols and promote safe driving, and assist in rescue operations during emergencies.
The company explained that Ssangyong Motor has been continuously selected as the highway safety patrol vehicle since the Musso in 1994 up to the current All New Rexton due to its excellent driving performance and superior durability and safety.
The All New Rexton enhances safety by applying the advanced driving safety assistance system Deep Control, which includes the active driving safety assistance technology 'Intelligent Adaptive Cruise Control (IACC)'. It also features the 4Tronic system, delivering powerful driving performance in various road conditions including severe weather. Additionally, it comes standard across all trims with the ultra-high-strength quad frame, the most airbags in its class with 9 airbags including a driver's knee airbag, and seatbelt reminders for all seats.
Meanwhile, Ssangyong Motor is recognized for its reliability by continuously supplying various models such as the All New Rexton and The New Rexton Sports as command and work vehicles to public institutions including the Army, Navy, and Air Force.
