Lee Jaehwan CEO "Will Do His Best for Members"
[Asia Economy Reporter Cha Min-young] One Store, an application (app) market operator, announced on the 29th that it has been selected as a ‘2021 Work-Life Balance Practice Company’ by the Ministry of Employment and Labor.
The Ministry of Employment and Labor, together with Job Planet, selects companies that have led positive organizational changes through work innovations such as the introduction of flexible working hours, reduction of overtime, and practice of work-life balance as ‘Work-Life Balance Practice Companies’ every year. Selection is based on quantitative and qualitative indicators from the Ministry of Employment and Labor and Job Planet, as well as evaluations from employees with experience at the respective companies, without separate applications from companies.
One Store has been implementing a hybrid work system, combining remote work for all employees during the COVID-19 spread period according to government quarantine stages. It has also provided services such as home delivery of meal kits, transportation expense support, and health management programs. To respond to the post-COVID era, it is piloting a ‘hybrid work’ system that allows employees to autonomously design their working hours and locations.
Since its establishment in 2016, One Store has introduced a ‘flexible attendance system.’ To ensure that employees do not face difficulties balancing work and life due to marriage or pregnancy, it operates systems supporting housing stability loans, childcare allowances, children’s tuition fees, congratulatory and condolence support, long-term service leave, and congratulatory money. Additionally, welfare benefits are provided in a customized manner for all employees, including summer resort facilities, annual self-development expenses, monthly communication fees, and medical expenses for employees and their families.
Lee Jae-hwan, CEO of One Store, said, "Efforts to secure work-life balance for employees have been the foundation of One Store’s growth," and added, "We will continue to do our best to support our members so that they can work while being guaranteed work-life balance."
