Operation of 6 Parking Spaces at the National Science Museum Parking Lot Starting from the 29th
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Bong-su] The National Science Museum in Daejeon will operate an ultra-fast electric vehicle charging station in its attached parking lot starting from the 29th to provide charging convenience for visitors and citizens who own electric vehicles.
In accordance with the 'Electric Vehicle Rapid Charging Infrastructure Expansion Plan' established by the government in February this year, the Science Museum provided available land and administrative permits, while Hyundai Motor Company installed and operates the charging station through a public-private partnership. This is the first ultra-fast electric vehicle charging station installed on national and public land since the government policy announcement. Earlier, in February, the government held an Innovation Growth Promotion Meeting and decided to install ultra-fast electric vehicle charging stations on idle land owned by national and public institutions, considering installation area and power facilities.
The domestic electric vehicle charging standard DC Combo Type 1 was adopted as the basic charging method, and a total of six chargers will be operated, including four chargers capable of ultra-fast charging up to 260kW and two rapid chargers of 100kW.
