[Asia Economy Reporter Naju-seok] Yoon Seok-yeol, the presidential candidate of the People Power Party, has established the "Youth Committee for Thinking About Tomorrow" (hereinafter Youth Committee) directly under the candidate. Candidate Yoon expressed his determination to solve youth issues by setting up a Youth Headquarters under the election campaign committee and promoting youth policies.

On the 28th, at a cafe in Yeouido during the launch ceremony of the Youth Committee, Yoon said, "If I become president, I will run the government together with the youth, who are the future generation," adding, "Under the Yoon Seok-yeol administration, youth will not merely be policy beneficiaries but will become partners in governance and policy planners."

Regarding the fact that the presidential candidate himself will serve as the chairman, he explained, "It is to empower the youth and to stand together as partners in governance, and I want to impose a strong sense of responsibility on myself." Previously, Yoon had established the Committee for Accompanying the Vulnerable and decided to serve as the special committee chairman himself.

In addition to Chairman Yoon, the Youth Committee includes Vice Chairmen Kim Jae-hoon (37), CEO of Siktagiinneun Salm, and Kim Won-jae (29), Digital Policy Advisor at the UN Secretary-General's Special Envoy Office. Other members include Dina Stryukova (30), granddaughter of forcibly relocated Sakhalin Koreans and a working mom; An Jung-rok (30), founder of the tree distribution startup 'Rootrix'; Cho Seung-yeon (27) from Yonsei University Housing Welfare Research Institute; Kim Jin-gyeom (30), founder of the hip-hop festival production company 'Culture Think.' Also participating are Kim Ji-hee (34), Head of External Cooperation at the Korea Atomic Energy Research Institute labor union; Kwon Mi-jin (29), founder of the smart farm startup 'AgUni'; Moon Kyung-jun (32), former defense and security project manager at the Konrad Adenauer Foundation; and Kim Geum-hyuk (30), a North Korean defector youth who graduated from Kim Il-sung University.

Meanwhile, besides the Youth Committee, a Youth Headquarters will operate under the campaign committee. The Youth Headquarters is responsible for turning various youth ideas from inside and outside the party, including those from the Youth Committee, into actual policies, overseeing nationwide youth organizations, and playing a practical role in making this presidential election a festival involving the 2030 generation. The Youth Headquarters includes Lee Gi-in, a Seongnam city council member who served as spokesperson for the Yoo Seung-min camp, and Park Yong-il, chairman of the 2030 Committee of the National Honam Hometown Association.
