[Asia Economy Reporter Yoo Byung-don] A man accused of knocking on motel room doors and committing obscene acts in the hallway has been referred to the prosecution.
Seoul Gwanak Police Station announced on the 28th that a man in his 20s, identified as Mr. A, was sent to the prosecution on charges of trespassing.
According to the police, Mr. A is suspected of entering a motel in Gwanak-gu on the morning of the 14th of last month, pretending to be a guest, checking each room by pulling on the doors to see if guests were inside, and then committing obscene acts in the hallway.
At the time, a part-time worker reported Mr. A's behavior through the closed-circuit television (CCTV) monitor, and police who arrived at the scene caught Mr. A hiding in an emergency exit.
Meanwhile, since no one witnessed Mr. A's acts, the police applied only the charge of trespassing and did not apply the charge of public obscenity.
