Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries: "Check All Information on Returning to Fishing and Rural Life at a Glance"

Service for 'Gui-eo Gui-chon Comprehensive Information Platform' Starts from the 29th

[Sejong=Asia Economy Reporter Kwon Haeyoung] The Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries announced on the 28th that starting from the 29th, it will provide integrated information services for returning to fishing and rural areas through the 'Return to Fishing and Rural Areas Comprehensive Information Platform.'

Until now, to check information necessary for returning to fishing and rural areas, such as job and startup information, housing, education, and living conditions, one had to go through local Return to Fishing and Rural Areas Support Centers and Return to Fishing Schools, making information acquisition difficult and inconvenient. Accordingly, the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries established the Return to Fishing and Rural Areas Comprehensive Information Platform, an integrated information support system, allowing users to access information from related institutions such as eight Return to Fishing and Rural Areas Support Centers (by region and local government) and seven Return to Fishing Schools on a single platform.

Additionally, information systems operated separately by various institutions such as the Ministry of Employment and Labor, the National Federation of Fisheries Cooperatives, and the Korea Maritime Transportation Safety Authority have been linked. As a result, various information from jobs and startups to fishing vessel transactions and settlement necessities can now be checked in one place.

An alert service is also provided for applicants among those wishing to return to fishing and rural areas. By analyzing the areas of interest of these individuals, information on education, events from each institution, and policy support information such as startup and housing purchase funds for returning to fishing, and youth fishing village settlement support projects are continuously provided via text messages, emails, and other means.

The Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries will also hold an event for participation in the alert service to promote the activation of the Return to Fishing and Rural Areas Comprehensive Information Platform until the 22nd of next month. Detailed information can be found on the Return to Fishing and Rural Areas Comprehensive Information Platform.
