On the 28th, BGF Group will donate approximately 30 million KRW to the nonprofit organization Sarangui Dalpaengi to support children with hearing impairments.
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Chun-han] BGF Group announced on the 28th that it will donate approximately 30 million KRW collected through the Love Sound Fund to the nonprofit organization Sarangui Dalpaengi to help hearing-impaired children who cannot afford cochlear implant surgery due to economic difficulties.
The Love Sound Fund is raised through voluntary donations from BGF Group employees. The fund consists of salary deductions where employees donate a portion of their monthly salary, support from the BGF Welfare Foundation, and proceeds from in-house auctions.
Since 2010, the accumulated donations have reached about 400 million KRW, enabling over 50 children to regain their hearing. This year, five children have successfully undergone cochlear implant surgery through Sarangui Dalpaengi and are currently receiving auditory training and speech rehabilitation therapy.
A BGF Retail official said, “We are very pleased that the warm hearts of our employees have come together to gift the sounds of the world to children again this year,” adding, “We will continue to play the role of a good friend in society, supporting the dreams and hopes of more children.”
