Gosewon on Divorce and Miscarriage Revelations: "The Woman I Dated for 3 Months... I'm Sorry"

[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Isul] Actor Go Sewon has responded to allegations that he ignored his girlfriend, whom he dated with the intention of marriage after divorcing four years ago, when she became pregnant.

On the afternoon of the 26th, Go Sewon spoke through his agency, Hoonus Entertainment, saying, "I sincerely apologize for causing concern due to this unfortunate matter."

He stated, "I divorced in 2017. The reason I did not disclose the divorce at the time was because I wanted to try to reconcile. However, we ultimately did not reconcile."

He continued, "During that time, I met that woman at the end of last year and dated her for about three months. I also apologize to her for any reason."

He added, "I will definitely take responsibility for the parts I must be accountable for. Having gone through a difficult time, I believe there will be an opportunity to honestly share my feelings with everyone as they are."

Previously, a post appeared on an online community board claiming, "I was abandoned by Mr. K, known as the 'Prince of Housewives,' after becoming pregnant and subsequently suffered a miscarriage."

The author claimed that K said, "I will use contraception until the divorce article is announced in the media," and "If you get pregnant, I will immediately release the divorce article and marry you. Just trust me," so contraception was not used. Pregnancy occurred during their relationship, and when the author informed K, he ended the relationship with a single text message. The author also claimed to have had a miscarriage, sparking controversy.

Meanwhile, Go Sewon debuted as a KBS Super Talent and became known through tvN's "Mackdwae Meogeun Youngae-ssi." He later appeared in dramas such as "Suspicious Three Brothers," "Cinderella's Sister," "The Last Empress," and "Dangerous Promise." In 2011, he married singer Orange Lala (Shin Lala).
