[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] On the 26th at 2 PM, Yudonggyun, Mayor of Mapo-gu, attended the 'Seoul·Incheon·Gyeonggi Excellent Local Government Policy Conference' held at Wedding Group Withus Yeongdeungpo, where he announced 'Mapo, 10 Best Walking Paths'.

Hosted by the Excellent Local Government Council, the National Association of Mayors and Governors, and the Presidential Committee on Autonomy and Decentralization, and organized by the Excellent Local Government Council, this event began with a regular general meeting at 11 AM, followed by a session from 2 PM where heads of 11 basic local governments including Mapo-gu presented their representative policies.

Mapo-gu announced 'Mapo, 10 Best Walking Paths', which ranked first among the top 10 news chosen by residents in 2020, reflecting strong community response.

The '10 Best Walking Paths' project is designed to provide alleyway tourism courses that combine Mapo's culture, history, and nature not only to residents but also to domestic and international tourists in the post-COVID-19 era, aiming to promote local pride and simultaneously revitalize the local economy.

On the 26th afternoon, Chae Hyun-il, Mayor of Yeongdeungpo-gu, attended the 'Excellent Local Government Policy Conference' held at Wedding Group Withus Yeongdeungpo and presented policies.

Mayor Chae presented urban revitalization projects around Yeongdeungpo Station under the theme 'Reborn through Communication and Coexistence, Open Yeongdeungpo', including the improvement of street vendors, jjokbangchon (tiny room villages), and red-light districts.

Mayor Chae stated, "Based on communication and coexistence, we were able to resolve long-standing resident demands," adding, "We will continue to steadily promote various core projects to improve residents' quality of life, enhance the status of Seoul's three major central cities, and open Yeongdeungpo's second renaissance."
