[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Jucheol In] As of 6 PM on the 2nd, Gyeongsangnam-do announced that 86 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 have been reported within the province.
By region, there are 20 cases in Changwon, 16 in Gimhae, 12 in Goseong, 11 in Yangsan, 6 in Geoje, 5 in Jinju, 4 in Miryang, 3 each in Haman and Hamyang, and 1 each in Tongyeong, Sacheon, Namhae, Hadong, Sancheong, and Geochang.
Out of the 18 cities and counties in the province, 15 are experiencing sporadic spread. Among the total confirmed cases, 36 contracted the virus through contact with family, acquaintances, or coworkers who were confirmed cases within the province.
Ten cases were infected through contact with confirmed patients from Seoul, Busan, Gyeonggi, Jeonnam, and Gyeongbuk regions. There were also 32 confirmed cases with unknown infection routes. The impact of cluster infections continues.
