[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters, Trainee Reporter Hwang Du-yeol] Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power (KHNP) held a mentoring pairing ceremony on the 26th for students from the Korea Electric Power International Nuclear Graduate School (KINGS) who are nationals of project target countries.
The 'Mentoring Pairing Ceremony' marks the start of a mentoring program conducted by KHNP for KINGS students from the Czech Republic, Poland, and Egypt, countries where KHNP is striving to secure nuclear power plant contracts.
The pairing ceremony follows the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MOU) between KHNP and KINGS in October to establish a foundation for mutual cooperation in the mentoring program.
Through the mentoring pairing, KHNP employees affiliated with nuclear power export destinations will become mentors to nine KINGS students from the project target countries, supporting their academic achievement and career development.
KHNP plans to use the mentoring program to discover potential opinion leaders in new nuclear power project target countries and strengthen KHNP's support base from the grassroots level in the global nuclear power market.
