[Asia Economy Reporter Kang Juhee] A delivery worker making early morning deliveries was caught wandering the apartment corridor without pants and underwear, prompting the police to launch an investigation.

According to an SBS report on the 25th, on the early morning of the 21st, male delivery worker Mr. A was captured on closed-circuit television (CCTV) carrying a package and walking through the corridor on the 7th floor of an apartment in Sangil-dong, Gangdong-gu, Seoul, without pants and underwear.

Mr. A's behavior was revealed by two female friends living on the floors above and below the apartment. The women had personal CCTV cameras installed in front of their doors.

The footage of Mr. A on the 7th floor was also captured by a CCTV installed on the 8th floor. Upon seeing the CCTV on the 8th floor, Mr. A hesitated, then quietly turned around and pulled up his pants.

Fortunately, no one encountered Mr. A during the early morning hours.

The woman who reported the CCTV footage said, "One of the things that seemed very intentional was that he even pulled up his shirt and walked around holding it. If we had actually met, it would have been too..." She claimed that Mr. A's actions were deliberate.

According to the delivery company where the worker was employed, Mr. A was confirmed to be the husband of a female delivery worker who had been subcontracted to make deliveries, not a regular employee. They also explained that Mr. A took off his lower garments because he urgently needed to urinate outdoors.

The company stated, "We heard that Mr. A urgently needed to urinate outdoors, so he pulled down his pants and, holding the package (delivery item), went to the first floor to urinate outdoors."

However, the apartment management office, after reviewing the CCTV, judged Mr. A's explanation to be false and reported the incident to the police.

The police said they have requested the company to verify Mr. A's identity and are reviewing what charges, including public indecency, can be applied.

The company also apologized, stating that the delivery worker violated the contract by working with her husband, which led to this incident. They have excluded Mr. A's wife from work and pledged full cooperation with the investigation.
