[Asia Economy (Suwon) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] Gyeonggi Province will hold the '2021 Gyeonggi Environmental Industry Fair (Eco Fair Korea 2021)' online from the 29th of this month to the 3rd of next month.
Now in its 4th year, the Gyeonggi Environmental Industry Fair is an exhibition in the environmental industry field hosted by Gyeonggi Province, and due to the impact of COVID-19, it will be held online and non-face-to-face for the first time in two years.
This year's exhibition theme is "Environmental Industry Overcoming Crisis, Preparing for a Carbon Neutral Future," covering various environmental topics such as domestic and international responses related to carbon neutrality, Gyeonggi Province's Green New Deal model, and carbon neutrality implementation plans.
The province will introduce the achievements of the online video consultation meeting held in October between public demand organizations and environmental companies in the province, along with an exhibition of excellent environmental companies' products through the promotional hall.
This exhibition distinguishes between general visitors and environmental industry workers such as participating companies and buyers, allowing general visitors to freely attend.
Company representatives can use a dedicated menu after completing the registration process.
The province also provides an interest company registration service so that visitors can easily view the core products and main technologies of participating companies at the Gyeonggi Environmental Industry Fair. Additionally, a one-on-one business consultation function operates as a channel for continuous communication between participating companies and buyers.
The online exhibition consists of a total of three special halls.
At the 'Carbon Neutrality Special Hall (NET ZERO SPECIAL ZONE),' Gyeonggi Province's carbon neutrality promotion status, domestic and international carbon neutrality plans, RE100, water industry support policies, and fine dust countermeasures are introduced.
At the 'Exhibition Hall (EXHIBITION HALL),' major products and technologies of environmental companies in the province are showcased.
At the 'Business Lounge (BUSINESS LOUNGE),' the achievements of the non-face-to-face online video purchasing consultation held last October between excellent domestic environmental companies, large corporations, and public demand purchasing officers are displayed. Sixty-five companies applied for the video purchasing consultation, 54 buyers participated, and approximately 4.6 billion KRW worth of consultation results were achieved.
Park Seong-nam, Director of the Environmental Bureau of the province, emphasized, "As carbon neutrality is a hot topic, quick responses in the environmental industry are necessary, and I hope the Gyeonggi Environmental Industry Fair will serve as a catalyst for expanding market entry of environmental companies and efforts toward carbon neutrality."
