Gwangju City to Supply 'Yosusu' at 15 Gas Stations Starting December 13

Gwangju City to Supply 'Yosusu' at 15 Gas Stations Starting December 13

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] Gwangju Metropolitan City announced on the 25th that a local import company will supply urgently imported vehicle urea solution from Vietnam at 15 gas stations starting December 13.

There are 2 locations in Seo-gu, 4 in Buk-gu, and 9 in Gwangsan-gu.

However, to quickly resolve difficulties faced by the local freight and logistics industries, 20 tons of urea solution will be supplied directly to two companies, including freight carriers and logistics companies, starting from the 29th.

The purchase quantity is limited according to the Ministry of Environment's emergency supply adjustment measures: up to 10 liters per day for passenger cars, and up to 30 liters for freight trucks and construction machinery until the end of December.

Gwangju initially planned to supply urea solution at 5 gas stations starting the 29th, but as 10 more gas stations expressed interest in supplying imported urea solution, negotiations between the import company and gas stations, as well as the ordering process in Vietnam, delayed the supply schedule.

During this time, negotiations on appropriate prices and supply quantities were conducted between gas station representatives and the local import company, and 10-liter small packaging containers preferred by gas stations were separately produced.

With the sales date changed to December 13, the city plans to reannounce this through the city and district websites, freight associations, and supplying gas stations to prevent confusion among citizens.

Im Chanhyeok, head of the city's Transportation Policy Division, said, “We hope there will be no confusion by confirming the changed urea solution supply date,” and added, “Please be sure to inquire by phone or other means about purchase availability before visiting the respective gas stations.”
