[Asia Economy Reporter Kang Nahum] Gamevil announced on the 24th that it has acquired the cryptocurrency platform specialist company ‘Jenaad’ and incorporated it into its development department.
Jenaad has experience in building blockchain exchanges and developing digital advertising blockchain-based reward systems. Through this blockchain technology expertise, Gamevil plans to complete the electronic wallet and smart contract technology for a non-fungible token (NFT) exchange, while integrating blockchain-based advertising solutions into the blockchain game platform HIVE to create synergy.
Additionally, Gamevil has carried out a major organizational restructuring to build an independent global blockchain ecosystem. The game production headquarters has been reorganized into an organization optimized for blockchain game development and blockchain ecosystem creation.
Besides the production office that builds blockchain games and token systems (C2X), a new economic operations office has been established. This department is responsible for designing and maintaining the blockchain economy stably.
‘HIVE’ will be upgraded through advancement to enhance the blockchain game development environment for global game companies and support a convenient NFT trading environment.
Under its subsidiary Gamevil Com2uS Platform, specialized blockchain development teams are organized by field to accelerate the construction of the NFT exchange. Gamevil’s NFT exchange is scheduled to open in the first quarter of next year, providing trading infrastructure necessary for Play to Earn (P2E) games as well as trading of K-pop artists’ concert videos and photo books.
Starting from the first quarter of next year, blockchain games will be launched globally by applying the ‘HIVE’ software development kit (SDK). Beginning with Gamevil’s self-developed collectible RPG, ‘Chromatic Soul: AFK Raid,’ at least 10 other games are in preparation.
In particular, Com2uS’s global hit intellectual property (IP), the MMORPG based on the Summoners War universe, ‘Summoners War: Chronicle,’ is also planned to be released as a blockchain game.
