Hyundai Kefico Participates in EICMA, the World's Largest International Motorcycle Exhibition

[Asia Economy Reporter Ki-min Lee] Hyundai Kefico announced on the 24th that it will participate in EICMA, the world's largest international motorcycle exhibition held in Milan, Italy on the 28th, to showcase its recently launched electric two-wheeler control solution 'Mobilgo'.

At this exhibition, which Hyundai Kefico is participating in for the first time, it will present the Mobilgo lineup (7 kW, 5 kW, 3 kW class electric two-wheeler drive systems) and the mobility data service 'Molda'.

Mobilgo is an exclusive brand for electric two-wheeler control solutions launched by Hyundai Kefico this year, consisting of a drive module, vehicle control module, thermal management module, and IoT-based data services. Based on over 30 years of accumulated internal combustion engine system engineering know-how, it simultaneously developed drive, vehicle, battery, cooling, and Internet of Things (IoT) solution systems to achieve optimized cooperative control among components.

It also provides a high-performance powertrain that meets high-voltage regulations, and features the first domestically applied water-cooled cooling system that improves thermal management performance of the motor and motor controller, ensuring optimal driving performance and durability even under harsh operating conditions. Additionally, it secures connectivity product value through an IoT solution equipped with a modem, Bluetooth, and GPS.

At this exhibition, Hyundai Kefico will also display battery management systems and functional parts for electric two-wheelers developed in collaboration with key electric two-wheeler component developers such as LG Energy Solution, Motrex, Korea Pretel, ECS, and Poongsan System. In particular, an electric two-wheeler equipped with the Mobilgo system will be exhibited and riding opportunities provided, allowing visitors to experience Mobilgo directly from a user perspective.

Based on the currently established lightweight and small-class Mobilgo 7, 5, and 3 systems, Hyundai Kefico plans to expand its lineup to medium and large-class electric two-wheelers of 9 kW and 15 kW in the future, thereby expanding its eco-friendly micro mobility solution business area.

A Hyundai Kefico official expressed expectations, saying, "Not only does it secure high durability through reliability tests equivalent to those for four-wheeled vehicles, but it is also equipped with precisely designed fault diagnosis and safety mechanisms, making it attractive to customers in Europe and Japan."
