[Asia Economy Reporter Yuri Kim] Seoul Dragon City’s 'Grand Mercure Ambassador Hotel & Residences Seoul Yongsan' and 'Novotel Suites Ambassador Seoul Yongsan' announced on the 24th that they have become the first in Seoul to receive the highest 5-star rating in the family hotel category of the hotel rating evaluation conducted by the Korea Tourism Association Central Council.
The hotel rating system is designed to enhance hotel service quality in accordance with international standards. On-site evaluations and surprise inspections are conducted, and a total score of over 90% is required to be awarded the highest 5-star rating.
Family hotels are a type of residence hotel where guests can freely cook in their rooms. Both Grand Mercure Ambassador Hotel & Residences Seoul Yongsan and Novotel Suites Ambassador Seoul Yongsan have kitchens in all rooms. They feature exclusive amenities such as a premier lounge and fitness center, allowing not only regular guests but also long-term residents to enjoy a balanced lifestyle during their stay.
Seoul Dragon City consists of four hotels including Grand Mercure Ambassador Hotel & Residences Seoul Yongsan, Novotel Suites Ambassador Seoul Yongsan, Novotel Ambassador Seoul Yongsan, and Ibis Styles Ambassador Seoul Yongsan, offering 1,700 rooms along with various restaurants, bars, and convention facilities. Since opening in 2017, it has established itself as a landmark in Yongsan.
The hotel stated, "Following the previous 5-star and 4-star ratings awarded to Novotel Ambassador Seoul Yongsan and Ibis Styles Ambassador Seoul Yongsan respectively, Grand Mercure Ambassador Hotel & Residences Seoul Yongsan and Novotel Suites Ambassador Seoul Yongsan have now both achieved 5-star status. With a total of 19 stars earned, Seoul Dragon City is set to solidify its position as Asia’s largest hotel complex."
