China also bans personal broadcasts... 88 people including Chris and Jeong Ssoang expelled Famous Chinese actor Zheng Shuang was recently fined on charges of tax evasion.

[Asia Economy Reporter Cha Min-young] A total of 88 individuals, including Kris, a former member of the famous Korean idol group EXO, who caused social controversies in China, have been officially banned from the Chinese personal internet broadcasting industry.

According to the online edition of the People's Daily on the 23rd, the Internet branch of the China Association of Performing Arts included a total of 88 people, including three famous celebrities such as Kris, Zheng Shuang, and Zhang Zhehan, on the list of warning targets related to internet broadcasting. Being included on this list means they cannot obtain accounts on streaming platforms.

Kris caused controversy due to allegations of sexual assault, Zheng Shuang for high-value tax evasion, and Zhang Zhehan for posting photos of his visit to the Yasukuni Shrine, where Japanese Pacific War war criminals are enshrined.

Earlier, the China National Radio and Television Administration, a Chinese broadcasting regulatory agency, announced in September high-intensity regulations in the field of popular culture that completely block appearances by celebrities who cause social problems and prohibit high appearance fees.

The state-run Global Times also stated, "Idol fandom culture, which distorts the values of minors and endangers social governance, must be purified," adding that "it can be exploited by foreign forces and threaten China's political stability."
