[Jeonju=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Han-ho] Kang Dong-hwa, chairman of the Jeonju City Council (Jinbuk, Inhu 1·2-dong, Geumam 1·2-dong), received a plaque of appreciation from the Jeonju branch of the Small Business Association (President Im Gyu-cheol) at the ‘2021 Jeonju Small Business Owners' Day Ceremony’ held on the 19th of this month for his contributions to revitalizing the small business economy.
The Small Business Association stated that Chairman Kang has been recognized for his efforts in communicating with local small business owners, resolving their difficulties, leading the protection of their rights, contributing to the development of small businesses by promoting the revitalization of alley markets and traditional markets, and adopting a resolution urging rent reduction measures for small business owners, which led to the awarding of this plaque of appreciation.
Chairman Kang said, “Despite the difficult economic conditions such as COVID-19, small business owners have shown patience and perseverance, becoming a great pillar of the local economy,” and added, “We will continue to make every effort to prepare practical and realistic policies and support measures that small business owners can feel, along with overcoming the COVID-19 economic crisis.”
