aT Operates 'ESG Management Week' with All Employees and Partners

[Sejong=Asia Economy Reporter Moon Chaeseok] Korea Agro-Fisheries & Food Trade Corporation (aT) announced on the 23rd that it will operate an 'ESG (Environment, Social, Governance) Management Week' for all employees and partner companies from today until the 30th.

During the Management Week, various activities aimed at spreading ESG values will be actively promoted. These include the low-carbon diet campaign 'Korea Green Food Day,' a 1-department-1-partner ethical and human rights management support program, an unboxing event for eco-friendly packaged agricultural products, and 20 other ESG-related programs. Since declaring 'ESG Management' together with 169 agro-fisheries and food partner companies last April, aT has been implementing ESG management strategies, establishing an ESG expert committee within the board of directors, operating a dedicated ESG management department, and running a CEO advisory committee.

aT is leading the expansion of 'Korea Green Food Day,' which practices carbon neutrality by reducing greenhouse gas emissions generated throughout the entire food production, distribution, and consumption process. This campaign is a representative ESG management practice of aT, a public institution responsible for the nation's food supply. Additionally, to spread environmental management values to partner companies, aT supports eco-friendly packaging materials and promotes experiential ESG adoption by providing vacation allowances to improve working conditions for partner company employees.
