[Asia Economy Reporter Park Hyesook] Incheon Technopark (Incheon TP) announced on the 23rd that it will reopen the Incheon VR·AR (Virtual·Augmented Reality) Production Hub Center, which had temporarily closed due to COVID-19.
Located on the first floor of the Gaetbeol Tower in Songdo International City, the center has opened its content production room and simulator room for companies and institutions to use for VR·AR-related convergence content production and testing. Reservations allow for short-term use of one day or long-term use of up to three months.
The content production room is equipped with facilities such as virtual YouTubers who create videos with virtual characters, and motion capture that records actual movements as data to produce games and animations through 3D modeling.
The simulator room enables the production and simulation of driving and flight-related content.
An open studio where citizens can freely experience eight types of content, including VR coding games and VR island village tourism, produced by Incheon-based companies with support from Incheon TP, is also open free of charge.
Reservations are required to use the facilities. For more details, visit the center’s website or contact the Incheon TP Content Support Center.
