[Asia Economy Reporter Changhwan Lee] Mercedes-Benz Korea announced on the 23rd that it will donate 60 million KRW raised through its social contribution activity, "Mercedes-Benz GIVE ‘N GOLF," to promising children and youth athletes in South Korea.
"GIVE ‘N GOLF" is part of the social contribution campaign "Mercedes-Benz GIVE," which promotes a culture of giving through sports and has been held since 2019. Approximately 2,600 Mercedes-Benz customers participated in this year's event, which started last month.
The 60 million KRW donation raised through customers' voluntary participation will be used as a scholarship fund for the "GIVE ‘N DREAM" program, which supports vulnerable children and youth athletes to grow into sports talents. The donation will be delivered to students in need through the social welfare foundation, Children and Future Foundation.
Johannes Schoen, Vice President of Product and Marketing at Mercedes-Benz Korea, said, "We thank the customers who participated in 'GIVE ‘N GOLF' from the preliminary rounds to the finals last month and practiced good sharing," adding, "The Mercedes-Benz Social Contribution Committee will continue to strive to promote a sincere culture of giving."
