Expanding Eco-Friendly Activities... Strengthening ESG Management Initiatives
[Asia Economy Reporter Moon Hyewon] Ediya Coffee announced on the 23rd that it will designate the third Wednesday of every month as ‘Environment Day’ to strengthen ESG management.
On the 24th, Ediya Coffee will conduct a plogging event (picking up trash while jogging) at Cheonggyesan Mountain with the participation of its executives and employees. About 50 executives and employees will take part in environmental cleanup activities starting from hiking trails around Cheonggyesan Mountain, taking steps to raise awareness about environmental pollution.
Additionally, to protect both the health of employees and the environment, the employee cafeterias ‘Sodam’ and Ediya Dream Factory will operate low-carbon meal plans on every ‘Environment Day’.
Along with this, through activities that employees can participate in regularly?such as reducing disposable products, creating a paperless work environment, and saving energy?Ediya Coffee will foster an eco-friendly corporate culture. In particular, the in-house cafeteria will only serve beverages to employees who use personal cups or tumblers, and paper printouts will be avoided during meetings. These practices aim to expand an eco-friendly culture based on employees’ shared commitment to ESG management.
To raise customers’ awareness of environmental protection and encourage participation in the campaign, promotions will be held in stores every month on ‘Ediya Environment Day.’ This month, on the 24th, among customers using tumblers at stores, 100 members with points will be selected by lottery to receive Americano exchange coupons.
