DL E&C Achieves 'AA' in SustainBest ESG Evaluation... Highest Rating for Construction Companies

[Asia Economy Reporter Minyoung Kim] DL E&C announced on the 23rd that it received the highest AA rating in the second half of 2021 Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) evaluation announced by Sustainvest. This is a two-step increase from last year, making it the highest-rated construction company. DL E&C also received an AA rating in the first half of this year’s evaluation.

Sustainvest, along with the Korea Corporate Governance Service and Daishin Economic Research Institute, is one of the major ESG evaluation agencies in Korea, conducting evaluations twice a year. Ratings are assigned across seven levels from AA to E (AA-A-BB-B-C-D-E). In the second half of this year, Sustainvest evaluated 1,004 KOSPI and KOSDAQ listed companies by industry, assessing environmental, social responsibility, and corporate governance aspects. Only 11.2% of companies received the highest AA rating.

DL E&C publishes an annual sustainability management report to strengthen corporate social responsibility. It established a dedicated ESG team and became the first construction company to join the Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD). Thanks to these efforts, it received the highest grade in the Win-Win Growth Index for this year as well, following last year.
