KCC Selected as 'KS Myeongga', an Excellent Company with KS Certification

[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Jong-hwa] KCC was selected as a 'KS Myungga,' an excellent company certified by KS, at the '60th Anniversary Ceremony of National Standards' held on the 22nd at The Westin Chosun Seoul Hotel in Jung-gu, Seoul.

KS Myungga is a certificate awarded to outstanding companies that have obtained KS (Korean Industrial Standards) certification, hosted and organized by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy's National Institute of Technology and Standards and the Korean Standards Association. It selects leading companies in the industry that have achieved exemplary innovative growth among those that have maintained certification for more than 10 years after obtaining KS certification.

The event was attended by about 60 people from companies and government agencies, and Lee Chang-ryeol, head of KCC's Quality Division, received the KS Myungga certificate in the name of the Minister of Trade, Industry and Energy. KCC holds a total of 18 KS certifications, including coatings, gypsum boards, and insulation materials, starting with obtaining KS certification for water-based coatings in 1975.

A KCC official said, "It is truly meaningful to be selected as a KS Myungga in the year marking the 60th anniversary of national standards," adding, "We will take one step further toward global top-level product quality and corporate competitiveness on the occasion of being selected as a KS Myungga."
