Suwon-si Recruits 300 Participants for University Student Internship Program Suwon City Hall


[Asia Economy (Suwon) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] Suwon City in Gyeonggi Province is recruiting 300 participants for the university student internship program.


On the 23rd, Suwon City announced that it will select 300 university students to participate in the '2022 First Half University Student Internship Program' from the 29th of this month to the 11th of next month.


The university student internship program is a project that provides university students preparing for employment with opportunities to work at government offices.


The selected interns will be assigned 150 each to City Hall, four district offices, business offices, and Dong Administrative Welfare Centers, working from January 4 to 28 (19 days) and February 4 to 28 (17 days) next year.


Working hours are from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, with a basic hourly wage of 10,220 KRW plus weekly holiday allowance.


Eligibility to apply is university students (enrolled or on leave) aged 29 or younger as of the announcement date (November 22) who are registered residents of Suwon City. However, graduate students and those who have previously participated in university student internship projects or youth workplace experience programs are not eligible to apply.


The city will select interns by random drawing on the 14th of next month. The city will send text messages to the selected students and announce the results on the Suwon City website.


A city official explained, "Intern university students will submit their preferred work locations by the four regions of Jangan, Gwonseon, Paldal, and Yeongtong Districts, and will be randomly assigned using a random number program."
