1660 Apartment Units to be Built in the Vicinity of Sinjeongnegeori Station

[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Min-young] A total of 1,660 apartment units, including 40 rental units, will be built around Sinjeongnegeori Station in Yangcheon-gu, Seoul.

On the 23rd, Seoul City announced that it held the '11th Seoul Metropolitan City Urban Redevelopment Committee' the previous day and approved with modifications the review plan for the revision of the redevelopment promotion plan and landscape plan for Sinjeong 4 District in the 1200 block of Sinjeong-dong, Yangcheon-gu.

Sinjeong 4 District is located in the station area of Sinjeongnegeori Station on Subway Line 2, with a low eastern side and a high western slope. Seoul City plans to create a terrain-adaptive apartment complex considering these characteristics.

The architectural plan includes a building coverage ratio of 25.16%, a floor area ratio of 249.98%, and a total of 1,660 units including 40 rental units, which will be finalized through architectural review. The building heights will be planned with various floor counts up to a maximum of 23 floors, considering the skyline of surrounding complexes and the characteristics of the slope. Low-rise row-type commercial buildings will be placed along the eastern living street of the site.

Additionally, a public pedestrian passage and a visual corridor connecting Sinjeong 2-1 District Raemian Mokdong and Sinnam Middle School in Sinjeong 4 District will be arranged to improve walking convenience for residents commuting between Sinjeongnegeori Station and Sinnam Middle School.

Kim Seong-bo, Director of the Housing Policy Office of Seoul City, said, "With the decision on the promotion plan for Sinjeong 4 District, located in the middle of the Sinjeong redevelopment promotion zone, it is expected to greatly contribute to urban environment improvement, housing supply expansion, and regional development by harmonizing with the residential complexes on both sides of the already completed district."
